IT IS FINISHED
“30 So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit.” – JOHN 19: 30
Wow, today is the last day of the healing challenge and I’m sure there are so many testimonies. I weighed myself the other day and for the first time in weeks instead of loosing weight I am putting on weight and I barely have the symptoms of issues with my digestive nerves even when I eat things I am not really supposed to because I’m trying to build my body back after Covid. Praise Jesus. For me I am trusting God for complete healing and wholeness in my body, soul, mind and spirit and for healing for everyone in my family who needs healing.
I am so sure I would be completely healed because I remember when I was in debt and God asked me to publicly put it on instagram and also go on a 10 day debt free challenge. I obeyed and that same year I was completely debt free. The same God that asked me to go on this healing challenge will heal me. Many people who did the debt free challenge also are debt free and so I know that I know that I know that you will also receive your healing.
Our Bible reading for today is based on Isaiah 53. Interestingly this word came as prophetic word. Yesterday someone in my community, that during the hallelujah challenge, the Lord asked her to send me this Bible reading and that there was a word there for me. When I read it I knew it was the perfect reading for the topic for today.
The Sin-Bearing Messiah
Who has believed our report?
And to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?
For He shall grow up before Him as a tender plant,
And as a root out of dry ground.
He has no [a]form or [b]comeliness;
And when we see Him,
There is no [c]beauty that we should desire Him.
He is despised and [d]rejected by men,
A Man of [e]sorrows and acquainted with [f]grief.
And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him;
He was despised, and we did not esteem Him.
Surely He has borne our [g]griefs
And carried our [h]sorrows;
Yet we [i]esteemed Him stricken,
[j]Smitten by God, and afflicted.
But He was wounded[k] for our transgressions,
He was [l]bruised for our iniquities;
The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,
And by His stripes[m] we are healed.
All we like sheep have gone astray;
We have turned, every one, to his own way;
And the Lord [n]has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.
He was oppressed and He was afflicted,
Yet He opened not His mouth;
He was led as a lamb to the slaughter,
And as a sheep before its shearers is silent,
So He opened not His mouth.
He was taken from [o]prison and from judgment,
And who will declare His generation?
For He was cut off from the land of the living;
For the transgressions of My people He was stricken.
And [p]they made His grave with the wicked—
But with the rich at His death,
Because He had done no violence,
Nor was any deceit in His mouth.
Yet it pleased the Lord to [q]bruise Him;
He has put Him to grief.
When You make His soul an offering for sin,
He shall see His seed, He shall prolong His days,
And the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in His hand.
[r]He shall see the labor of His soul, and be satisfied.
By His knowledge My righteous Servant shall justify many,
For He shall bear their iniquities.
Therefore I will divide Him a portion with the great,
And He shall divide the [s]spoil with the strong,
Because He poured out His soul unto death,
And He was numbered with the transgressors,
And He bore the sin of many,
And made intercession for the transgressors.
Jesus healed even before He went to the cross. He healed every single person that came to Him for healing. He didn’t turn anyone back. Sickness is not His will for us. Sickness came as a result of the fall and if you notice in the Bible stories about sickness, almost every time he healed someone, he also delivered people’s from demons and demonic possession. Illnesses are demonic, from demons and are a spirit of infirmity. Therefore God can never want you to be sick. There is no glory in that. He can work it out for your good but He is not the one who causes it.
When Jesus died on the cross, He said it is finished . It means that He had paid the price for us. He took upon our punishment. He already died for our sins.
30 So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit. – John 19:30 (Please read the entire chapter).
Therefore you have no business being ill. Healing and wholeness are available to us and this is why the Lord has taken us on this healing challenge. The Bible in Matthew 11: 12 says says “ From the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven has suffered violence, and the violent take it by force.”
Take your divine healing , refuse to accept sickness.
What is the significance of a rainbow in all of this.
The rainbow is one of Gods phenomenons. A rainbow is formed when light passes through water, rain or a storm. Light is actually a combination of different colours but to the naked eye, light is white. When light passes through water or rain, these colours are refracted at different angles, which separates the different colours of light. It is because light passes through the rain or storm that you are able to see the different beautiful colours of the rainbow. Without the storm you wouldn’t know that light is not just white but a combination of different colours.
Asides from the story of Noah, the Bible refers to a rainbow in three other places “I saw still another mighty angel coming down from heaven, clothed with a cloud. And a rainbow was on his head, his face was like the sun, and his feet like pillars of fire.”- Revelations 10 verse1. “Like the appearance of a rainbow in a cloud on a rainy day, so was the appearance of the brightness all around it. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the Lord.” – Ezekiel 3 verse 28.
There is a rainbow in the throne room of heaven. “And He who sat there was[a] like a jasper and a sardius stone in appearance; and there was a rainbow around the throne, in appearance like an emerald.” – Revelations 4 verse 3.
How is this significant to your struggles?
The Light and the Rainbow signify Jesus. Jesus is the light and when you allow Jesus into your storm, you see His beauty even in your storm. You may know Him in one “light” but you get to know Him in a different light in the storm you face. For example you may know Him as Jehovah Jireh your provider but through this challenge you would know Him as Jehovah Rapha our Healer.
